| INCREASED ZEV REQUIREMENTS | Beginning in 2025, the CARB ACT mandate requires a significant increase in Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) sales ratios. Specifically, 7% of new Class 8 tractor sales 11% of Class 6-8 rigid sales must be ZEVs. These percentages will continue to increase annually through 2025. |
| IMPACT ON INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE SALES | The availability of Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) will be restricted as OEMs must now balance ICE sales with ZEV credits. For every ICE-powered vehicle, specific BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) sales must offset it. This will result in limited availability. |
| CARB HD OMNIBUS REGULATIONS | Massachusets and Oregon will implement stricter regulations, limiting internal combustion engine sales. Planning ahead is essential. |
| PLANNING FOR EXTENDED LEAD TIMES | Due to supply chain constraints, ZEV lead times are expected to be longer. Early planning for your 2025 chassis purchases is crucial. |
